James is competent as a safe, responsible and respectful traveller.
James has successfully completed the following modules of competency.
Travel Speed
James has demonstrated competency in being able to travel at speeds that are safe for the conditions, taking into consideration, but not limited to, the below modules.
Environmental Hazards
James has demonstrated competency in recognising, avoiding and handling environmental hazards, including oil spills, dangerous objects or animals in travel path, potholes and items falling from other travelling vehicles.
Traffic Conditions
James has demonstrated competency of how traffic conditions can alter the way one travels and how to be safe and respectful whilst moving in heavy traffic and built up areas. This includes but is not limited to, giving way when appropriate, modulating speed according to the traffic flow and being extra alert when moving through school zones and other slow zones.
Emergency Handling
James has demonstrated competency in emergency handling of both manual and automatic vehicles in times when emergency handling is critical to personal safety and the safety of others. Such cases include but are not limited to, steering failure, a ruptured tyre, unexpected pedestrian on the road, water build up (aqua planing) and black ice.
Weather & Light Conditions
James has demonstrated competency travelling in a variety of vehicles in a variety of conditions, including but not limited to, clear, overcast, drizzle, rain, storm, high winds, snow, day light hours, dusk, night and dawn.
Ground Surface
James has demonstrated competency in handling a variety of vehicles over a variety of ground surfaces, including but not limited to, asphalt, tarmac, concrete, dirt, grass, sand and mud.
Mechanical Awareness
James has demonstrated competency in maintaining vehicles at a basic functioning level. This includes but is not limited to, checking and replacing coolant and oil, monitoring and filling tyre air pressure, ability to change a flat tyre, inspecting and replacing globes, fuses,windscreen wipers, spark plugs, spark leads, oil filters, air filters and brake pads.
Focus
James has demonstrated competency in ability to concentrate for extended periods of time whilst travelling. This includes but is not limited to, the ability to stay focused when there is music on in the vehicle, other passengers are talking or other distractions that may be caused by a mobile phone.
Vehicle Type
James has demonstrated competency in operating many vehicle types, including but not limited to, right hand drive, left hand drive, automatic, manual, hatchbacks, sedans, coupes, 4wd's, vans, utes, station wagons, dirt motor bikes, super sport motor bikes, naked motor bikes, lean back motor bikes and scooters.
Experience
James started learning how to operate motor vehicles at 12 years of age on private land and was taught by his father, who is a race car driver and who has over 50 years of experience of accident free travel under his belt. James has operated and travelled in/on many motor vehicles in many countries, including, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Germany, Austria, America, Greece, Fiji, New Zealand and The Netherlands. James began travelling formally on public land under supervision at age 16 on his learner plates. At age 18, James began to travel solo on his p plates. As of this certificates creation date, James has had 16 years of public travel experience in 12 countries, all accident free.

Evidence of ownership can be proved by the van being filled with James' personal belongings, the confirmation of ownership transfer from the previous owner and many eye witnesses who have seen James in possession of the van.
James acquired the van from Nathan William James of 2 Paunelle Ave, Lismore, on the 27th of February 2022 and has been it's owner since that date.
