11 years old and ashamed of my body

When I was young, I was so embarrassed of my body, I couldn't even hug my family.

Whenever they would hug me, I'd hold my arms by my side or cross them over my chest.

I didn't want them to feel my flabby belly and saggy chest.

My mum loved and cared for me and thought she was expressing that love by filling my lunchbox with "treats" everyday for school.

I still remember the principal making fat jokes about how much "food" I would bring everyday....

Initially, I was a skinny kid with big ears who looked like the child of Gray Aliens.

If you're into conspiracies, how on earth is ☝️ the same person as me...?!

Yet after years of eating highly processed junk food, Nutella, Le snacks, roll up's, chips, etc...

My hormonal system became shot from copious chemicals laced in "food like" products and I developed Gynecomastia (man boobs).

This absolutely KILLED my confidence, especially dealing with girls while in my teens.

It's what partly led to me becoming an emotional drunk so early in my life.

(Which I can proudly say I've grown out of)

At the age of 19, I was so distraught by my estrogenic man boobs, which I couldn't naturally remove, that I opted for surgery.

Which my mum thankfully payed for (8k) as she was the one who had unintentionally caused it!

I was happier after the surgery when the swelling and bruising settled down, but I still had a long way to go.

It took years to figure out how to become confident with my body and how to shape it to my wishes.

I wasn't brave enough to approach women without being half pissed until I eventually transformed at 22.

My passion for exercise and mental fortitude flourished from my experience in the Australian Army as an infantryman.

I quickly learnt that all the normal challenges in daily life outside the army are a walk in the park in comparison to the grueling training we were put through.

I wanted to shape that passion into helping others build a military grade level of mental resilience, capable of dealing with their daily challenges.

WITHOUT the screaming and back breaking workouts of course!

My Lumbar Spine MRI Looks Like a Dog Was Using My Disc As a Chewtoy...During my time in the army, I actually did break my back. Not from the military training, but my own.

I don't share this for your sympathy, but to highlight that I could still build a great physique while suffering from a painful injury.

9 years on, my back pain persists, but so does my dedication and focus.

I learnt how to train around my pain and have finally figured out how to reduce 95% of it.

The experience of seeing every specialist you can name and not one of them being able to help me was super, duper, SUPER frustrating.

It's partly what would spark depressive episodes I fought through in the past.

Living a healthy and happy life is extremely difficult when you're in constant pain, don't know how to fix it and no one seems to have good enough answers.

That's why I'm so passionate about injury prevention nowadays, I don't want you to go through the same pain nor the years of study!

Having experienced great physical pain over almost a decade, I understand that physical pain may suck, but have learnt the hard way that emotional pain is worse, far worse. 

Having survived a 6 month period of suicidal depression, I can attest I'd take the back pain over the mental pain anyday!

It's what led me to close down my thriving bootcamp business back in 2019...(on my birthday of all bloody days!)

I worked with over 500 clients from 2017 - 2019 & helped to transform many of them

No one understood what I was going through when I closed my bootcamp.

I knew everyone was thinking "how is this young, fit and successful business owner depressed?"

It felt like no one believed me.

I was already suffering, but giving refunds to clients who had just bought 12 month transformation packages was heart breaking.

Hundreds of people had come to rely and depend upon me, and I let them down.

I only share my sop story on the chance it resonates and you find it inspiring.

I wouldn't do it otherwise. I feel it's very private and I'm not looking for validation.

But if by sharing my story I can spark an inferno of inspiring power in even one deserving man or woman reading this, than it makes this awkward overshare worth it!

Even though I'd prefer physical pain to emotional pain, they can both get screwed!

And that's what I had to do.

I had to learn how to support my back and my mind.

If there's a will, there's a way.

At the time, I truly didn't realise how overweight I was!

To continue the unpleasant story of victim to conqueror....

Not only have I struggled through years of daily back pain (some days worse than others), 6 months straight of suicidal depression then sporadically on and off for years after, I also had alcohol, cigarette and marijuana addictions to contend with.

Not even mentioning the confidence killing dissatisfaction I had with my body shape and all the yo yoing!

I managed to defeat the alcoholic demons which were plaguing me since I was 13 (I was a young drunk, don't judge me!) up to the age of 23.

That war was a slog, being dependent on liquid courage to "enjoy" myself when out was something I didn't enjoy.

But after I realised I wasn't actually having fun (even though I thought I was), I decided to stop.

I couldn't believe the emotional control the beers, gin, rum, whiskey and all the rest had over me.

My mum would always tell me "don't give anyone or anything the power to control you emotionally".

It took me a long time to heed her advice.

The "demonic" spirits were literally eating me from the core of my soul out.

That's one heretical, life debilitating addiction I have no regrets whatsoever in purging from my life.

The happiness and strength I feel now that I've chosen to be alcohol free is incontestable.

The tobacco was even worse.

It was easy not to drink during the week, but not smoking, well, different story.

It's the kind of barbed thorn when stuck in you, takes an age to surgically remove.

But once that smelly, ugly, deadly habit is excised, you feel an overwhelming sigh of relief.

When I QUIT, I felt like I could at last breathe fresh air.

I finally felt like I was treating myself with the respect I would convince others I had.

Dealing with life destroying addictions is one thing.

Dealing with suicidal thoughts is another. 

It's horrible. 

If you've experienced it you know what I mean and if you haven't, I hope you never do.

But the culminating climax of my self induced TORMENT was a 3 week psychotic episode in 2021.

To put it bluntly, I just smoked way, way too much weed.

(Which caused the psychosis/mental breakdown)

To try and cope with the awful nature of the forces that run society and influence world events, I turned into a drug addict, intent on numbing out the shocking truths I was uncovering.

I can tell you now, that 3 weeks of losing my mind from overdosing on weed was so bad, so horrendously abominable, so atrociously despicable, that 6 months of wanting to end my life every minute of every day seemed like a WARMUP in contrast.

Again, I don't want your pity or sympathies. Sharing this is quite difficult and to be honest, I don't really want to.

Who will believe me or take it seriously anyway?

That's not the point though.

The point is that I know you've probably had it hard too, maybe not as hard as me or maybe even worse.

The moral of the story is this...

I know what it's like to SUFFER and I know what it's like to CONQUER.

It's because the universe tried to break me in two and FAILED that I'm here to share not only my story, but my methods.

I know how to tell god, reality, the universe, what ever you want to call it, to get F&*$ed and that you'll never break, not today, not tomorrow and not EVER.

And I want to teach you what I've done (without the hard-fought struggle) and prove you CAN DO IT TOO!

Since February 2023, I've been traveling the world.

In 19 months, I've visited 16 countries.

Despite holidays and traveling being an ancient arch enemy of my gains and 6 pack, I've come to discover (work my ass off to find) ridiculously easy methods for getting in and staying in shape.

In the past, I'd get shredded, go overseas, and cover up my abs in 3 weeks!

I couldn't believe the discrepancy of my discipline.

I'd learnt how to take my body from overweight and unfit (after 8 years of trial and error), to shredded, fit and strong in 3 months.

Yet in 3 months I'd piss it all away.

My lack of sustained and consistent control was infuriating.

I knew I must have been missing something.

The phenomena of humanity somehow being incapable of staying healthy while not at home is a mystery to most.

It's actually mind boggling when you think that such a tiny issue in the grand scheme of things can topple even the most well built bodies.

It took me 31 years to learn the importance of mindset.

Countless hours of study, experimentation and failed hypotheses. 

After putting two and two together (as it's really that simple), I was able to travel AND stay healthy.

I can now travel between countries and move frequently between accommodations while consistently being able to maintain the nutrition plan I desire.

Not only can I travel and maintain my physique, but I can even improve it while training at different gyms every week and being in a new city just as often.

When you understand a few basic principlesyour transformation becomes SO MUCH EASIER.

For all those who wish for a magic pill or instant solution.....

It doesn't exist!

But the next closest does.

It's not supplements, drugs or some concept about eating for your blood type or training for your genetic DNA sequence....blah blah blah...
